The City Plan 2040 Development Plan Scheme includes a participation statement which shows how we are planning to engage with people and when they can get involved in the City Plan 2040 process.

Evidence Report
We are currently preparing our Evidence Report and we intend to complete this by June 2026. We will not be consulting on the Evidence Report itself.
Call for Ideas
This provides an opportunity for everyone - people, communities, stakeholders, businesses, developers and landowners - to put forward suggestions and ideas for City Plan 2040.
This could be new policies, sites for development, proposed uses for sites or ideas to improve an area.
This will take place around July to September 2026.
