The project proposals
West Granton Road
- one-way, cycle lanes that are separated from traffic on the north and south side of West Granton Road
- routing cycle lanes around the back of bus stop areas
- improving existing and building more pedestrian crossings
- improving West Granton Access junction for pedestrians
- installing raised tables (speed humps) at minor side roads
- developing the roundabout at the end of Pennywell Road so cyclists can travel around it, separate from traffic. Zebra crossings will be at every access/exit to the roundabout.
- West Granton Road will still have single traffic lanes in each direction.

Pennywell Road
- removing two lane traffic in favour of single lanes
- a two-way cycle route on the west side of Pennywell Road in place of the existing northbound traffic lane
- new parking and loading bays
- new crossings
- changes to green spaces with more plants and trees
- new public spaces
- repositioned bus stops to suit the new road layout.

Ferry Road
From Ferry Road service road - number 738 - to Ferry Road Avenue we will provide a quiet mixed traffic street, where cyclists and vehicles can share the same space.

- improvements at the Red Bridge junction
- changes to green spaces with more plants and trees
- new shared-use path

Outdoor spaces
We want to create outdoor areas for socialising and play that are
- safe
- easy to access
- well lit
We will also build in sustainable measures like drainage systems that will help reduce the risk of flooding and help with climate resilience.
